Cell Tissue Organ System

Cell Tissue Organ System The cell is the fundamental auxiliary and utilitarian unit of all known living life form. It is the littlest unit of life that is named a living thing and is regularly called the structure square of life. Some life form, for example, most microscopic organisms, are unicellular (comprise of a solitary cell) and other life form, for example, human, are multicellular. Every cell can take in supplements, convert these supplements into vitality, do particular capacities, and duplicate as important. It likewise stores its own arrangement of guidelines for doing every one of these exercises. All phones have a skin called the plasma film, shielding it from the outside condition. The cell film controls the development of water, supplements and squanders into and out of the cell. Within the cell film are the working pieces of the cell. At the focal point of the cell is the cell core. The cell core contains the cells DNA, the hereditary code that facilitates protein blend. Notwithstanding the core, there are numerous organelles inside the cell little structures that help do the everyday tasks of the cell. One significant cell organelle is the ribosome. Ribosomes take an interest in protein blend. The translation period of protein union takes puts in the cell core. After this progression is finished, the mRNA leaves the core and goes to the cells ribosomes, where interpretation happens. Another significant cell organelle is the mitochondrion. Mitochondria are regularly alluded to as force plants of the cell on the grounds that may of the responses that produce vitality happen in materials. Outside the cell divider is a thick case which has antiphagocytic work so it decides the destructiveness of numerous microscopic organisms. It likewise assumes a job in connection of the life form to mucous layers. Most cells organelles fo cell portability are flagella. Flagella emerge from cytoplasm and expel through the cell divider, they are long and thick string like members, protein in nature. Another external structure of the cell are Fimbriae (pili). Fimbriae are short and slight hair like fibers and are liable for connection of microbes to explicit receptors gracious human cell. II. Depict AND DISTINGUISH BETWEEN THE CELL AND TISSUE ORGANIZATION AND SYSTEM. As the graph appears CELL TISSUE ORGAN SYSTEM HUMAN BODY A gathering of cells with same structure and capacities will become tissue and one to a few dozen procedures will be called organ and gathering of organ will work as a framework until it get together with other practical and anatomical unit of the human body or creature. There are a wide range of sorts of cells in the human body. None of these phones work well all alone, they are a piece of the bigger life form that is called human. TISSUES Cells bunch together in the body to shape tissues an assortment of comparable cells that bunch together to play out a particular capacity. There are 4 essential sorts in the human body: epithelial tissue, connective tissue, muscle tissue and nerve tissue. 1) Epithelial TIssue The cells of epithelial tissue pack firmly together and structure persistent sheets that fill in as liningd in various pieces of the body. Epithelial tissue fills in as films lining organs and assisting with keeping the bodys organs independent, in palce and secured. A few instances of epithelial tissue are the external layer of the skin, within the mouth and stomach, and the tissue encompassing the bodys organ. 2) Connective Tissue Connective tissue adds backing and structure to the body. Most kinds of connective tissue contain sinewy strands of the protein collagen that add solidarity to connective tissue. A few instances of connective tissue incorporate the internal layers of skin, ligaments, ligamnets, ligament, bone, fat tissue and blood. 3) Muscle Tissue This sort of tissue is a specific tissue taht can contract. Muscle tissue contains the specific proteins actin and myosin that slide past each other and permit development. Instances of muscle tissue are contained in the muscle all through your body. 4) Nerve Tissue Nerve tissue contains two sorts of cells: neurons and glial cells. Nerve tissue can create and direct electrical signals in the body. These electrical messages are oversee by nerve tisse in the mind and transmitted down the spinal rope to the body. ORGANS An organ is a structure that contains in any event two unique sorts of tissue working together for a typical reason. The skin is the biggest organ in the human body and is made out of three layers: the epidermis, dermis and subcutaneous layer. The epidermis is the external lsyer of skin. It comprises of epithelial tissue in which the cells are firmly pressed together giving a hindrance between within the body and the outside world. Beneath the epidermis lies a layer of connective tissue called the dermis. Dermis contains veins that sustain skin cells. It contains nerve tissue that gives feeling in the skin. The subcutaneous layer is underneath the dermis and comprises essentially of a kind of connective tissue called fat tissue. Fat tissue is otherwise called fat and helps pad th eskin and give assurance from cold temperature. ORGAN SYSTEMS Organ frameworks are made out of at least two distinct organs that cooperate to give a typical capacity. There are 10 significant organ frameworks in the human body. 1) Skeletal System: The primary job of the skeletal framework is to offer help for the body, to secure fragile inside organs and to give connection destinations to the organs. Significant organs are bones, ligaments, ligaments and tendons. 2) Muscular System: The fundamental job of the solid sysem is to give movemet. Muscles work two by two to move appendages and furnish the creature with versatility. Muscles likewise control the development of material through certain organs, for example, the stomach and digestion tracts, and the heart and circulatory framework. Significant organs are skeletal muscles and smooth moscles all through the body. 3) Circulatory System: The fundamental job of this framework is to ship supplements, gases, hormones and squanders through the body. Significant organs are heart, veins and blood. 4) Nervous System: The principle job of the framework is to hand-off electrical signals through the body. The sensory system coordinates conduct and development and, alongside the endocrine framework, controls physiological procedures, for example, assimilation, flow, and so on. Significant organs incorporate cerebrum, spinal line and fringe nerves. 5) Respiratory System: The primary job of the respiratory framework is to give gas trade between the blood and the earth. Essentially, Oxygen is assimilated from the climate into the body and carbon dioxide is removed structure the body. Significant organs are nose, trachea and lungs. 6) Digestive System: The primary job of th esystem is to breakdown and ingest supplements that are important for development and upkeep. Significant organs are mouth, throat, stomach and internal organs. 7) Excretory System: The primary job os this framework is to sift through cell squanders, poisons and overabundance water or supplements from the circulatory framework. Significant organs are kidneys, ureters, bladder and urethra. 8) Endocrine System: The primary job of the endocrine framework is to transfer substance messgaes through the body. Related to the sensory system, these concoction messages help control physiological procedures, for example, supplement retention, development, and so forth. Numerous organs exist in the body taht emit endocrine hormones. Among these are nerve center, pituitary, thyroid, pancreas and adrenal organs. 9) Reproductive System: The mai job of this framework is to produce cells that permit generation. In the male, sperm are made to inseminate egg cells created in the female. Significant organs for female are ovaries, uterus, vagina and mammary organs; for male testicles, fundamental vesicles and penis. 10) Lymphatic/Immune System: The primary job is to demolish and expel attacking organisms and infections from the body. The lymphatic framework likewise expels fat and abundance liquids from the blood. Significant organs are lymph, lymph hubs and vessels, white platelets, T-and B-cells. III. Clarify TISSUE STIMULUS, ELECTRICAL FUNCTION AND BALANCE AND ITS IMPLICATIONS FOR INTERACTION BETWEEN CELLS AND SYSTEM. Neurons are the basic units of the sensory system that complete the elements of the frameworks by directing motivations. They are profoundly particular and amitotic, which implies that if a neuron is devastated it can't be supplanted. Practically, neurons are named afferent, efferent, or affiliation neurons, as indicated by the bearing where they transmit motivations comparative with the focal sensory system. Every neuron has three essential parts: Cell body, which is like other sort of cells At least one dendrite, which travel driving forces to the cell body A solitary axon, which transmits motivations from the cell body

Theories How Personality Is Tested Personality Disorders View All Back To Top What exactly is personality? How does understanding your own personality help you gain greater insight into your emotional well-being? Personality is something that people often describe, yet many do not fully understand exactly what the scientific study of personality is all about. It is your unique personality that makes you who you are and influences everything from your relationships to the way you live. Personality psychology is one of the largest and most popular branches of psychology. Psychologists strive to understand how personality develops as well as how it influences the way we think and behave. This area of psychology seeks to understand personality and how it varies among individuals as well as how people are similar in terms of personality. Psychologists also assess, diagnose, and treat personality disorders that can interfere with an individuals day-to-day life. What Is Personality? What is it that makes you who you are? Certainly, many factors contribute to the person you are today, including your genetics, your upbringing, and your life experiences. Many would argue that what truly makes you unique is the characteristic patterns of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that make up your personality. While there is no single agreed upon definition of personality, it is often thought of as something that arises from within the individual and remains fairly consistent throughout life. It encompasses all of the thoughts, behavior patterns, and social attitudes that impact how we view ourselves and what we believe about others and the world around us. Understanding personality allows psychologists to predict how people will respond to certain situations and the sorts of things they prefer and value. In order to understand how researchers study personality psychology, it is important to start by learning more about some of the most influential personality theories. Theories A number of different theories have emerged to explain various aspects of personality. Some theories focus on explaining how personality develops, while others are concerned with individual differences in personality. Personality Is Often Described in Terms of Traits The trait theories of personality are centered on the idea that personality is made up of a number of different broad traits or dispositions. Various theories have been proposed over the years to attempt to identify exactly which attributes serve as key components in personality and to determine the total number of personality traits. Psychologist Gordon Allport was one of the first to describe personality in terms of individual traits. In his dispositional perspective, he suggested that there are different kinds of traits. Common traits are those that are shared by many people within a particular culture. Central traits are those that make up an individuals personality. Cardinal traits are those that are so dominant that a person becomes primarily known for those characteristics. Mother Teresa, for example, was so well-known for her charitable work that her name became almost synonymous to service to those in need. While Allport had suggested that there were as many as 4,000 individual traits, the psychologist Raymond Cattell proposed that there were 16. He also believed that these traits exist on a continuum and that all people possess each trait in varying degrees. Later, psychologist Hans Eysenck narrowed this list of traits even further and suggested that there were just three: extroversion, neuroticism, and psychoticism. The Big Five theory is perhaps the most popular and widely accepted trait theory of personality today. This theory proposes that personality is made up of five broad personality dimensions: extroversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism, and openness. Each trait exists as a broad continuum, and each individuals personality lies somewhere on that spectrum for each trait. For example, you might be high in extroversion, conscientiousness, and agreeableness while being somewhere in the middle of the continuum for the traits of openness and neuroticism. Some Theories Look at How Personality Develops and Changes Through Life Freuds theory of psychosexual development is one of the best-known personality theories, but also one of the most controversial. According to Freud, children progress through a series of stages of personality development. At each stage, libidinal energy, or the force that drives all human behaviors, becomes focused on specific erogenous zones. Successful completion of each stage results in moving on to the next phase of development, but failure at any particular stage can lead to fixations that can impact adult personality. Psychologist named Erik Erikson described a series of eight psychosocial stages that people go through during life. Each stage plays a significant role in the development of personality and psychological skills. During each stage, the individual faces a developmental crisis that serves as a turning point in development. Erikson was more interested in how social interactions influenced the development of personality and was primarily concerned with the development of what he called ego identity. Successfully completing the stages leads to the development of a healthy personality. While Freuds theory suggested that personality is primarily formed and set in stone at a very early age, Erikson believed that personality continues to develop and grow throughout life. How Personality Is Tested In order to study and measure personality, psychologists have developed a number of different personality tests, assessments, and inventories. Many of these tests are widely used in a variety of settings. For example, the famous Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is frequently used as a pre-employment screening assessment. Other assessments may be used to help people learn more about different aspects of their personalities or as screening and evaluation tools when diagnosing different types of personality disorders. The chances are that you have encountered a wide variety of personality tests in different forms online. Many of these tests purport to reveal the real you, while others are clearly just for entertainment. For example, you might come across online quizzes that identify whether you have an extroverted or introverted personality. Gaining a better understanding of yourself can sometimes help you become more aware of why you work so well with others or why you sometimes feel like you just need a little alone time. The key is to remember that any assessment that you take online should probably be taken with a grain of salt. These informal tools can be fun and can even sometimes offer insight into your preferences and characteristics, but only personality tests administered by trained and qualified professionals should be used for any sort of formal assessment or diagnosis. Personality Disorders Personality psychologists not only study how personality develops, but they are also interested in various problems that may arise. A number of different personality disorders have been identified that can have a serious impact on an individuals life and functioning. The National Institute of Mental Health reports that approximately 9.1% of the adult U.S. population experiences symptoms of at least one personality disorder each year. So, what exactly is a personality disorder? These disorders are characterized as chronic and pervasive mental disorders that impact thoughts, behaviors, and interpersonal functioning. The DSM-5 currently lists 10 different personality disorders. These include antisocial personality disorder, borderline personality disorder, narcissistic personality disorder, and obsessive-compulsive personality disorder. Being diagnosed with a personality disorder can often be quite distressing, but it is important to remember that help is available. By working with mental health professionals, you can find ways of recognizing the difficulties that these disorders can cause in your life and explore new coping strategies. It is OK to feel frightened and concerned about what the future may hold, but the important thing to remember is that you do not have to face it alone. There are people who are trained, skilled, and ready to help you take the next steps in your treatment. Depending on your specific diagnosis, your doctor may recommend some form of psychotherapy, skills training, medication, or a combination of all three. The key is to work closely with your healthcare team to develop a treatment plan that focuses on your needs and goals. A Word From Verywell Personality is a broad subject that touches on nearly every aspect of what makes people who they are. There are many different ways to think about personality, such as focusing on individual traits or looking at the different developmental stages that take place as personality emerges and sometimes changes over time. Psychologists are not just interested in understanding normal human personality, but in recognizing potential personality disturbances that might lead to distress or difficulty with school, work, relationships, and other key life areas. By being able to identify such problems, psychologists are better able to help people develop skills to better cope and manage the symptoms of personality disorders. Definition of the Disengagement Theory of Aging

Disengagement theory outlines a process of disengagement from social life that people experience as they age and become elderly. The theory states that, over time, elderly people withdraw, or disengage from, the social roles and relationships that were central to their life in adulthood. As a functionalist theory, this framework casts the process of disengagement as necessary and beneficial to society, as it allows the social system to remain stable and ordered. Overview of Disengagement in Sociology Disengagement theory was created by social scientists  Elaine Cumming and William Earle Henry, and presented in the book  Growing Old, published in 1961. It is notable for being the first social science theory of aging, and in part, because it was controversially received, sparked further development of social science research, and theories about the elderly, their social relationships, and their roles in society. This theory presents a social systemic discussion of the aging process and the evolution of the social lives of elderly  and was inspired by functionalist theory. In fact, famed sociologist Talcott Parsons, who is regarded as a leading functionalist, wrote the foreword to the Cummings and Henrys book. With the theory, Cummings and Henry situate aging within the social system and offer a set of steps that outline how the process of disengagement occurs as one ages  and why this is important and beneficial to the social system as a whole. They based their theory on  data from the Kansas City Study of Adult Life, a  longitudinal study that tracked several hundred adults from middle to old age,  conducted by researchers at the University of Chicago. Postulates of the Theory of Disengagement Based on this data Cummings and Henry created the following nine postulates that comprise the theory of disengagement. People lose social ties to those around them because they expect death, and their abilities to engage with others deteriorate over time.As a person begins to disengage, they are increasingly freed from social norms which guide interaction. Losing touch with norms reinforces and fuels the process of disengagement. The disengagement process for men and women differs due to their different social roles. The process of disengaging is spurred by an individuals desire to not have their reputation damaged by losing skills and abilities while they are still fully engaged in their social roles. Simultaneously younger adults are trained to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to take over the roles played by those who disengage.Complete disengagement happens when both the individual and society are ready for this to occur. A disjunction between the two will occur when one is ready but not the other.People who have disengaged adopt new social roles so as not to suffer a crisis of identity o r become demoralized.A person is ready to disengage when they are aware of the short time remaining in their life and they no longer wish to fulfill their current social roles; and society allows for disengagement in order to provide jobs for those coming of age, to satisfy the social needs of a nuclear family, and because people die.Once disengaged, remaining relationships shift, rewards of them may change, and hierarchies may also shift.Disengagement occurs across all cultures but is shaped by the culture in which it occurs. Based on these postulates, Cummings and Henry suggested that the elderly are happiest when they accept and willingly go along with the process of disengagement. Critiques of the Theory of Disengagement The theory of disengagement caused controversy as soon as it was published. Some critics pointed out that this was a flawed social science theory because Cummings and Henry assume that the process is natural, innate, and inevitable, as well as universal. Evoking a fundamental conflict within sociology between functionalist and other theoretical perspectives, some pointed out that the theory completely  ignores the role of class in shaping the experience of aging, while others critiqued the assumption that the elderly have seemingly no agency in this process, but rather are compliant tools of the social system. Further, based on subsequent research, others asserted that the  theory of disengagement fails to capture the complex and rich social lives of the elderly, and the many forms of engagement that follow retirement (see The Social Connectedness of Older Adults: A National Profile by Cornwall et al., published in  American Sociological Review  in 2008). Noted contemporary sociologist Arlie Hochschild also published critiques of this theory. From her view, the theory is flawed because it has  an escape clause, wherein those who do not disengage are considered troubled outliers. She also critiqued Cummings and Henry for failing to provide evidence that disengagement is willingly done. While Cummings stuck to her theoretical position, Henry subsequently disavowed it in later publications and aligned himself with alternative theories that followed, including  activity theory and continuity theory. Green Toy Soldiers free essay sample

Being an only child, my childhood mostly consisted of me being left to my imagination as both my parents worked and I had to fend off the forces of boredom alone. I had a vast collection of stuffed animals that would rival most zoos, an abundant amount of Pokemon cards and my most prized possessions; my green toy soldiers. As every normal boy has his hobby or niche, mine was the military. Instead of Saturday morning cartoons, I would educate myself on how the allies invaded Normandy. Instead of dressing as a ninja or Batman for Halloween, I would consistently dress as a soldier in full fatigues and a Kevlar helmet much too big for my head. Whenever I would win tickets at the local arcade, I would immediately spend all of them on the green toy soldiers. Throughout my childhood, I would hold battles between the valiant green army and the evil tan army of toy soldiers, always resulting in the green army prevailing. We will write a custom essay sample on Green Toy Soldiers or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page These battles would take place in the thick jungles of my backyard, in the rocky sea of my bath tub or in my living room where I would build pillboxes and bunkers with tissue boxes and elaborate bases out of my unused books. As my childhood progressed, I began to meet some of my best friends through common interest in the military. It was close to ironic that I was so drawn to the military since nobody in my family has served or been significantly interested in it. In middle school I partook in a project where I had to research a college that I thought was interesting. Instead of finding a college, I discovered ROTC and like a normal child would be enamored by a bike or video game, so was I about ROTC. The thought of serving my country and getting a top education at the college of my choice completely sold me and so in the eighth grade, my dream to become an officer through ROTC began. In high school I attempted to prepare myself for the military in every activity that I did. In cross country, I imagined as I led the pack that in a few years I would do the same, but instead of leading other lanky high school runners, I would be leading future soldiers. In band I made it a point to make sure I was the most disciplined and dependable within the drum line and I was surprised at how much I looked like a soldier in the reflection of my drum with my buzz-cut and cadet style uniform. Finally in my youth ministry I truly learned what it meant to be a leader when I got the opportunity to lead retreats and God centered teens. Through all these activities I grew in maturity, character and most of all learned indispensable life lessons such as the value of being prompt and dependable. More and more, I saw that my dream was becoming reality. Then came the talk. Being an only child and the last of my family name, I perceived my parents to really resent the idea of me joining the military and from my perception, I believed they just expected me to outgrow what they considered a phase. I told my parents that I officially wanted to join the military, their reactions surprised me. They informed me that they could tell from the day that the idea of being an ROTC cadet popped into my head that I was going into the military and that I would most likely become an officer. Now that I’m filling out all the forms and applying for Army and Air Force scholarships I’m beginning to realize that I have almost completely grown into that Kevlar helmet that use to engulf my six year old head.

First, we used Pingdom to measure our test websites loading times from various locations around the world, and got the following results:Stockholm: 1.66  secondsMelbourne: 1.32  secondsNew York: 0.21  secondsSan Jose: 0.49  secondsThese are some pretty impressive times. The last two are under half a second, and all the tests fall below that golden two-second mark.Page speed tests with Load ImpactFor an even clearer picture of DreamHosts capabilities, we also conducted a stress test through Load Impact. This simulates multiple users accessing your site at once, and records the results. Here they are:Load Generator: Sao Paulo, BRTest Server: Brea, United StatesMinimum Response Time: 0.26 secondsMaximum Response Time: 1.26 secondsThese numbers are similarly encouraging. As you can see from the graph, with the exception of a single spike, the loading times (green line) stayed under half a second for almost the entire test, even as the number of active visitors (blue line)  increased. Your mileage may vary, but based on our testing DreamHost offers very solid performance.PricingDreamPress comes in three tiers, and includes everything we’ve discussed above. However, there are some key distinctions between the plans as well. The three tiers are as follows:Basic ($16.95 per month): With the standard DreamPress plan, you get one site that handles up to 10,000 monthly visitors. You’ll also get 5 GB of SSD storage, and some basic backup options.Plus ($24.95 per month): This plan increases your site’s potential load to 30,000 monthly visitors, and provides extra storage. Plus, you’ll get access to a dedicated offsite backup solution, a catalog of premium themes, and a number of other features.Advanced ($35.95 per month): In terms of features, this plan is identical to the last. Howe ver, it bumps your resources and monthly visitor load up even further. What’s more, you now get two sites, plus an extra staging site.Unlike some hosting plans, the number of sites supported doesn’t go up dramatically along with the tiers. Fahrenheit 451 Essays (201 words) - Fahrenheit 451, Free Essays

Fahrenheit 451 Essays (201 words) - Fahrenheit 451, Free Essays Lauren Sladic 2nd hour Henderhan March 4, 2015 In Ray Bradburys Fahrenheit 451, Montag begins to challenge conformity and question his society. Bradbury begins the story by showing Montags energy towards his jobs of burning down houses that contain books: Later, going to sleep, he would feel the fiery smile still gripped by his face muscles, in the dark. It never went away, that smile (Bradbury 2). His declarations of detail strongly grab the attention of the readers, by implicitly writing about how Montag follows the societys conformity. Montag then later shows how he is questioning his society, after meeting a young girl named Clarisse. Clarisse does not follow the societys conformity and she passes the influence to Montag, making him challenge conformity and question his society. As they further grow a friend ship, Clarisse asks Montag a question about how many children he and his wife would like to have. He then replied with Well I dont really know (Bradbury 26). After that he begins to realize how much of a stinger his wife is to him, and how anti-social his whole society is. Just as Montag begins to somewhat question his society, he finds many more flaws in his world.

Assignment of International Economics Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words

Of International Economics - Assignment Example As argued by Auernheimer, (47) the markets are equipped with financial regulators who protect the investors against fraud as well as performing other functions. In the modern world, the markets are managed by an electronic system. Entities such as stock exchanges, investment banks and government departments manage the system. The systems are available across the globe, but more concentrated in London, New York and Hong Kong. International capital flow is facilitated by a global financial system that was established in the late 19th century. The formation of central banks and multilateral treaties was intended at ensuring transparency and efficiency international markets. The early 19th century was marked with a substantial development in the sectors of transportation and communication. Innovations in transportation sparked high rates of human migration while an improvement in communication facilitated efficient transfer of information. These innovations steered fast growth in international trade and investment. During the First World War, foreign exchange markets in London were heightened as United Kingdom went into war. The market became paralyzed and this impelled and the sterling pound lost its power against the French, franc currency. United States endorsed trading tariffs on its agricultural and manufacturing imports. The global trade nearly halted worsening the aftermaths of the world wide great depression. In 1930 marked the establishment of Bank for International Settlements to manage reparations from Germany imposed by the Treaty of Versailles and act as a bank for central banks across the world. Auernheimer (115) observed that most states in Europe, America and Asia departed from the classic gold standard following the end of World War 1. The great depression came to be and Germany was the first country to officially abandon the postwar gold standard and implement foreign exchange controls. After these host countries

Health Care Delievery systems Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words - 1

Health Care Delievery systems - Essay Example In others, there is a joint attempt among trade unions, religions, governments, charities, or other corresponding units to provide designed health care services aimed at the population they assist (Saltman & Von, 1995). This paper will assess the similarities and differences between different health care delivery systems. Publicly funded health care is financed partly or entirely by people’s tax sums instead of through exclusive fees. This are made directly to health care givers or insurance companies through deductibles, insurance premiums, or copayments. Two-tier health care is a system whereby an assured public health care system is in existence. However, a corresponding health care system functions in equivalent competition. The private health care system gives the patients a chance to hold more alternatives in selecting their physicians and waiting lesser periods. Nevertheless, two-tier health care system is expensive and set aside for only those who can meet the expenses (World Health Organization, 2000). Physicians who work in the private health care systems may also have an advantage because they can establish their own charges. Single-payer system is a method to financing health care with a single source of funds for paying health care givers. The range may be community based, national, or state-wide. The payer may be an entity like an insurance agency or a governmental unit. The proposed benefits may comprise large savings in overhead charges and administrative simplicity for providers and patients. Universal health care system is also referred to as social health protection, universal care or universal coverage. It depicts a health care system that gives free coverage and health care to everyone in the population of that state or country. Conversely, universal health care does not cover everybody for all things. Moreover, universal health care can be influenced by three vital

Television Analysis Of Jersey Shore

Television Analysis Of Jersey Shore The Jersey Shore is a reality TV show that has become one of the most popular shows in television today, and the producers are working on a season three. The show began in 2009, and since has had two seasons, which were widely viewed by many people. Some question, What is this show all about, and I reply that it is a show consisting of eight young people; Paul DelVicchio, Nicole Polizzi, Michael Sorrentino, Sammi Giancola, Ronnie Ortiz Magro, Jenni Farley, Vinny Guadagnino, and Angelina Pivarnick. All these people are young Italian people that come to a beach house, and basically just have fun. They all party, go out to clubs, drink alcohol uncontrollably, have sex, and just act like the stereotypical young person. Jersey Shore is not a survivor type reality show, or even a fear factor type reality show, but in my opinion, it is a bunch of young people that act immature, do bad things to have fun, and just make fools out of themselves in front of the whole country. However, Jersey Shore tries to make it seem like they are really good people because they work some of the time on the show in minimum wage jobs, but the times that those scenes are shown, the time frame is very minimal. Thus, this shows that the show is trying to show that they are doing something productive, but then again it shows the bad things more often because those are what are most interesting to society. So, the Jersey shore is a show that portrays young people to be the stereotypical young person, and in a sense persuades the people of America that this is how young people act. Additionally, the show portrays genders in ways that seem to be stereotypical as well. Gender Roles on the Jersey Shore (female) Females are often criticized by men that if they dont look like a real woman, then theyre not worth talking to. Meaning, if they do not wear makeup, dress up to show sex appeal, wear high heels, do their hair, they are not worth the time. However, this does not exist in the Jersey Shore because that is exactly what all the women do on the show. For instance, before they go to the club in basically every episode there will be a scene being shown that shows them getting ready, and that includes the women putting on makeup, sexually appealing clothes, and doing their hair. For instance in Episode 12, Season Two you see all the girls getting ready and Nicole Snookie Polizzi says We got to get ready and make sure we look good before we go to the club, (mtv.com) Thus, the show portrays the female as if they have to look good to go out, and wear nice clothes, and make sure their hair is done, which in my view, is really not the way most women are. Furthermore, when looking past that idea of the way women are supposed to look, I discovered that the show also portrays women to be the type that just want to have sex all the time and find good looking males. For instance, in just about every episode the women are always talking about the places to go to see all these good looking men, and how they would like to have sex with them. Additionally, when they go in the clubs, they dance rather sexually and get very close to their male counterparts in the club. So, perhaps, the Jersey Shore is trying to send the message that if you are going to clubs, you will meet women like this, and I find that to be a very stereotypical bias because not all women go to the clubs to simply dance dirty, and have sex. Hence, I believe that the Jersey Shore portrays women to be sex objects that love going out and showing off their bodies. Gender roles (male) Male gender role in the show is portrayed differently from women, but it does have a similarity. Men on the show are shown to be huge ripped guys that are very clean looking. That is where the similarity comes in between the male and female roles because they both are being portrayed as what people want in a man or woman, based on the media portrayal in this society. Additionally, the show stereotypes masculinity because Jersey Shore makes it seem like you have to look this way to be masculine, which means having a six pack, or being ripped. Moreover, the show does not only show male masculinity to be a role, but also shows male dominance to be a major role. For instance, in Season Two, Episode 11, Mike The Situation Sorrentino says to Nicole Snooki Polizzi when they are in the club that Im the man of the house, and when I say it is time to go, and then we go. Ive always done this when we have gone out. I always round people up(mtv.com), but words can only express so much, so you wou ld actually have to see it before your very own eyes to see how he believes he is dominant over Nicole Snooki Polizzi. In contrast, I believe that the show also shows men in a feministic way. The reason I say that is because the men on the show are often doing things typical of a woman. For example, the guys will go out and get a tan at a tanning salon, which is often seen being done by women. In addition, the guys, like the women, spend a lot of time doing their hair, getting dressed, and basically they just spend their time on themselves. However, I believe this is done purposely to show that they are clean, and that the male gender can too care about his body. Although they do that purposely, I believe viewers will still question how truly realistic is this reality show. So, gender roles in the show are portrayed in an way that intentionally try to attract viewers, but knowledgeable people will be able to tell that these are not the way all men and women are. Negative influence on young people Jersey Shore is a show that heavily stereotypes young people, but in my opinion, they do not take into consideration the negative effects they can have on the younger crowd. The younger people in America are often brainwashed by the media and believe everything that is being told or broadcasted. Therefore, Jersey Shore is a prime example of a show that can have these negative effects. The effects it might have differ between the genders, but when you look at the bigger picture it is quite similar. It is similar because most young people that are watching the show might now believe that they should act like these stereotypical young people are acting. However, they might not realize that this is not truly a hundred percent correct, and that this can possibly have a negative influence on their lives if they choose to act this way. In my opinion, I believe that what they do on the show will have a negative influence on a younger persons life because they would now start drinking more, clubbing more, having sex more, which all could result in negative outcomes. For instance, drinking could lead to an alcohol problem, clubbing could lead to sex, which can ultimately lead to a sexually transmitted disease that can be life threatening. So, younger people are potentially in danger when absorbing these false ideas and actions being portrayed on the show, and this can cause a number of problems in society itself to increase just because of one show. Alcohol addiction can increase, number of minors entering clubs can increase, and the most devastating thing would be if sexually transmitted diseases increase, which already seem to be on the rise. So, I have said what the show can do to people, but this is mainly considering people that already do these things. However, a bigger problem could be the effects it has on the people who do not do these negative things in their lives, and that is what could cause a significant increase in those areas I mentioned above. Thus, I believe that this will in fact affect the young people who do not already do these things, and that could be very bad for society. It could be bad for society because when you look at the long term effect this can have it can seem quite terrifying. It can seem terrifying because imagine the death rate increase due to some of these issues, and that can cause emotional problems, family problems, and to think this could be the long term effect all because of one show is just horrible. Therefore, I believe that the Jersey Shore presents many stereotypes that can have very negative outcomes on peoples lives if they try to imitate these people. Unrealistic Message of Partying Some might argue that this is all that is done on the show, but some might disagree, but partying seems to happen quite frequently on Jersey Shore. In every show the crew gathers up at least once at night and goes to the club and parties. However, it is done so often, it starts to seem unrealistic. It begins to seem unrealistic because it is portrayed as if All young people have time to do is go out and party all the time, but that is definitely not true because people that are in school, or who are young parents, or working a full time job will in most cases, not have the time to be partying like they do on the Jersey Shore. So, with that being said, I believe that if America believes that this is how young people are in this country, then I have proven my point that the media brainwashes society. Furthermore, Jersey Shore portrays partying as fun, which shows that they are generalizing the idea that partying and clubbing is fun. However, once again Jersey Shore is showing another way it tries to bring in the viewers of America. Although they portray clubbing to be fun, but that does not mean everyone thinks that it is fun. Sometimes, people say that clubbing is for young single people just trying to find a partner, which I agree with. Additionally, this relates to the show stereotyping young people because they are assuming that all young people like to go partying and clubbing, which is also not true, and I am a prime example of that because I do not like partying or clubbing, and I believe there are better alternatives to meet people or find a partner, such as attending an event of some sort. Therefore, I believe that Jersey Shore intentionally attacks these stereotypes to attract a person in this society who does not know much about media, and believes everything that is p ortrayed by them. Therefore, many people that are like this will watch the Jersey Shore, and did for the past two seasons. Advice for watching Jersey Shore is a show that you should watch with a stereotyping in mind. That Stereotyping is used so much in the show you might even forget how many times it appears. So, when you are watching this show, dont believe everything that you see, and try to mock these people. They are a bunch of people who getting a high salary to act like this because this is what the producers believes America wants to see based on the medias portrayal of young people in todays society, which you can argue is true because it is the most watch show on MTV in years. However, I do advise you that if you start to act like these people it can have very negative effects on your life. For example, if you start drinking like this, you could possibly become an alcoholic, which can lead to severe liver damage, family problems, and even a self addiction problem that may be very hard to overcome. Additionally, if you start having sex as frequently as these people do, you will eventually get a STD because these people are kissing, touching, and doing all those lustful things with many different people, and statistics show how easy it is in todays world to receive an STD when you are with numerous partners. As a result, you might receive a life threatening STD, such as aids. All in all, the main advice I would give you when watching the show is watch it as a show. So, watch it as a TV show and not as a reality show because the things being presented in the show in my opinion are just not real. So, watch this show for pleasure, but dont try to imitate these people because they would not be able to spend all that money on their hair, clothes, clubs, etc, if they did not ge t paid by MTV. So, I know most people will not listen to my advice, but ultimately I think it needs to be said. Conclusion Jersey Shores main point is to portray young people that are good looking, cool, and what people want based on stereotypes. Jersey Shore was a show that brought MTV back on its feet because MTV was a show that was showing steady decline in its viewers for the past several years until the Jersey Shore aired. Thus, I believe that the producers came up with a good idea that would pull viewers in and watch this show. However, what theyre doing cannot only affect the young minds of America, but cause an increase in other problems such as alcohol addiction, underage clubbing, and most of all sexually transmitted diseases. So, I believe that Jersey Shore has accomplished its goal by stereotyping young people because many people in this country watched the show, and still do. In conclusion, the effects this show can be negative, or could be positive, but it is your decision to watch, so with that being said, will you watch.

The Decline of Aristocracy in The Communist Manifesto Essay -- Communi

The Decline of Aristocracy in The Communist Manifesto The decline of aristocracy in The Communist Manifesto began with Karl Marx’s statement, â€Å"The history of all hitherto existing societies is the history of class struggles.†1 Marx recognized the ideals of the social rank, which has influenced every society throughout history. The two social classes described by Marx were the Bourgeoisie, or the upper class, and the Proletariats, or the lower class. Before the Bourgeoisie came to social power, landowners and corporate organizations ran the society. Marx believed that the severe separation of the two classes greatly troubled society and that the two classes must coexist as one with each other.2 The Bourgeoisie were the landowners, employers, and those who received capital in the society. They had other people work under them and controlled labor in order to increase personal capital. â€Å"Marx delineates his vision of history, focusing on the development and eventual destruction of the bourgeoisie, the dominant class of his day.†3 The Bourgeoisie came up with the idea to create a new social class known as the Proletariats, which were the laborers for the production of Bourgeoisie industry. The Proletariat was composed of the lower class of individuals as well as the lower region of the middle class; which eventually fell into the classification of Proletariat. This class is identified by hard individual efforts. The Proletariats lived to work, and the only way that they were hired was if the business owners believed they could increase capital. Marx described the worker as a sort of soldier or a slave for their labor.4 Similar to slaves, the working class was exploited by their superiors, or the Bou... ... 1. Environmental economics Essay

It is a familiar characteristic of city life; it is a type of large scale outdoor pollution. It consists of fog grossly contaminated by the product of the inefficient combustion of coal. Chemical reaction between pollutants derived from different sources primarily automobile exhaust and industrial emissions. For each city that exact causes of pollution may be different, depending on the geographical location, temperature, wind and weather factors, smog in its acute form occurs especially during the warm months of the year. Notable, air pollution disaster of this kind was recorded in December 1952 where London smog lasted in the acute stage for five days and overall for ten days. Casualties were among cattle and opera performance had to be stopped after the audience had no vision of the stage. More seriously though, it was estimated to have been directly responsible for an additional four thousand deaths. Specify the externalities/factors that have made this problem and the extent of the externalities involved, the impact and recent trends. In pure market economy resource allocation is the result of the decisions of consumers (households) and producers (firms) who seek to maximize the difference between benefit and incurred costs i. e. private benefit and private cost. But in the weakness of the market economy is that it may fail to take account of any additional benefit or cost which spill over from the original decisions. The cost or benefits additional to those which are the immediate concerns of the parties to a transaction are the spill-overs or externalities, they are not provided for directly in the market place. Due to activities of individuals or firms human based or naturally pollution occurs as a result of emitting too much of a substance to the environment so as to have harmful effects. Every time we breathe, we risk inhaling dangerous chemicals present in the atmosphere. These dangerous chemicals can be either in form of gases or particles and have diverse and numerous effects on human beings and the natural ecosystems. Because it is located in the atmosphere, air pollution is able to travel easily therefore making it a global problem and to a subject of cooperation and conflict. Emission of nitrogen oxide, carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide, lead, suspended particulates and organic compounds that can evaporate and enter the atmosphere. Air pollution caused naturally includes forest fires, volcanic eruptions, wind erosion, pollen dispersal, evaporation of organic compounds and natural radio activity. This does not occur in abundance in particular locations. Most pollution is as a result of human activity. The biggest causes are the operation of fossil fuel: – burning power plants and automobiles that combust fuel. These few factors are responsible for up to 90% of all air pollution in the United States alone. Other cities like Japan, China, Mexico and San Paulo have some of the most deadly pollution emission levels in the world. The world we are in is driven by fossil fuels, cars and other forms of transportation i. e. tracks, trains, aeroplanes e. t. c. run primarily on gasoline derived from oil. We can therefore say that some of the pollution issues that we face currently are directly related to the energy choice we have. Cooking, heating, lighting, e. . c. for homes, work places, industries using oil, coal and natural gas making us prone to pollution. Solutions to this problem begin with the logic of cost. This is where issues of renewable energy alternatives are suggested but corresponding arguments of greater energy efficiency and reliance on renewable energy is also advocated for. Some notable air pollution disasters are for example: the most publicized issues of second hand smoking. The smokers not only harm themselves but also others close by when they breathe this smoke. Industrial emissions did contribute to respiratory symptoms for several individuals and sixty deaths in Meuse area of Belgium in December 1930. In Danara, Pennsylvania, October 1948, twenty people died as a result of smog. This is a recurring problem that has seen world population mortality rate go up, low life expectancy e. t. c, this is due to diseases present in modern society and were not present 100 years go. Define using examples how policies to reduce this problem could be measured. Benefit management Policies set out to restrict smoking are important in attaining a healthy environment and individual. Policies to regulate smoking are in effect in some locations, but personal exposure should be motivated and limited wherever possible. However a combination of scientist, legislators, business leaders and individuals is a prerequisite for adherence and advocacy with a view to achieving a better environment. In this case therefore second hand smokers are protected especially in public places, this has therefore resulted to a decline in lung cancer, respiratory cases which would have cost the government and the unsuspecting persons a lot of money for treatment. On realizing the catastrophic effect of pollution and the environmental and personal costs associated with it, monitoring the air and environment campaign lead to: (i) Education in schools and universities where students begin at a very young age learning about the effects of pollution. They are taught and trained on management and conservation which carries in handy in the proceeding years of their life. (ii) Scientific groups have also been formulated as a result of government policies. These aim to study the environment with a view of coming up with solutions of encroaching problems and finding lasting and workable solutions (iii) legislative bodes have also contributed enormously by writing down laws that control emission. In this case therefore persons found violating the set laws is liable for prosecution. This makes industries oblige to avoid pollution and consequently revert to better and safer methods of production. (iv) Policies have also enabled the setting up of regulatory agencies e. g. united nations, the atmosphere management program to carry out environmental projects. They are bale to monitor, advocate and control the environment. These and much more are examples on policy formulated for better management and monitoring of the environment. As a result therefore emission of waste to minimized, controlled and checked. Dumping, waste disposal and waste management is carried out in a better way and thus reducing pollution levels. We also see that health cases and deaths are minimized, the government and individuals end up spending less for treatment in pollution related illnesses. The scenarios and beauty of landscapes, plants, etc is also retained. Measuring the cost of reducing the problem In conducting environmental sound economic analysis, we are required to determine the environmental and natural resource impact of the project or policy in question. In this case therefore it is the smog effect. It should also handle biological and social effects. One needs to measure the impact to determine the cost of solving it and this relies on the experts such as engineers, ecologists, agronomists, etc. We also put into consideration valuing the physical impact and relationship. Environmental impact can result in a miserable change in environmental quality. Estimating cost is generally easier than estimating benefits but it is not easy. One major problem derived from the fact that benefit cost analysis is forward looking and thus requires an estimate of what a particular strategy will cost which is more difficult than tracking down what an existing strategy does cost. Another fundamental problem disposed by collecting cost information when the availability of the information is controlled by a firm having an interest in the outcome.
